a place for zinesters - writers and readers
Hello cyberpsace! We meet again!
Last week was a blur of emails, ink, paper and paper cuts. And it looks like that is how this week will look like but with added snow storms and a strong fear of power outages.
I've been working diligently on the zine, having to edit things here and there due to space some of those articles I wrote were loooonnng.
Not to mention my forth coming manga Kisu Kisu I've been working on for like EVER.
Oh. I didn't tell you about that?
Well shit. Ya, I'm also working on my first manga ever. Well, one that I'll show to the loving embrace of the internet. *cough cough SARCASM*
I'll keep you posted on that endeavor as well here.
You know what is also a new find? Revolutions. Revolutions everywhere.
I dunno if it's because I am an old fart (YOU ARE!) but I get really excited(if for good causes) and then cautious about revolutions. Typically speaking, they go horribly for people after the buzz ends and the long trench warfare begins.
I really hope all our brethren in Thailand, and Ukraine are okay. It's true revolutions can turn the tide for good, but they can also be used as a means to oppress the oppressed even further.(I give you women's rights after teh Egypt unheaval.)
and from what I understand far-right groups are on the rise.
Art, zines, writing, speaking up, talking up, these things are needed even more than ever.
So keep drinking those coffees and making your dreams come true. someone out there needs your support and you theirs!
