a place for zinesters - writers and readers
It’s been a while in the making (anywhere between 6 months and 10 years, ‘pending on how you want to look at it…) but the stuffed, stacked and seriously bloomin’ large 10th birthday issue of Bubblegum Slut is now finally here!
Packing 100 pages (one hundred of ‘em!) and a 21 track sampler CD it’s a bit of a monster… so before I get carried away waffling and run out of room to tell you about all the goodies lurking inside its covers… well, here they are. ‘Neath the furry cover this quarter you’ll find;
*Alice Cooper & Rob Zombie's 'Gruesome Twosome' tour; the men behind the monsters (Rob & the ‘Coop’s bandmates - Keri Kelli, Piggy D and Chuck Garric) give us the inside track on the horror-rock roadtrip of the year!
*Reverend Horton Heat – band-on-band action! Devilish Presley's Johnny Navarro turns intrepid interviewer and puts the questions that have the rockabilly ‘Rev laughin’ ‘n’ cryin’.
*Emilie Autumn – the first wayward lady of ‘violin-dustrial’ invites you to enter the Asylum in this in-depth interview.
*Glitter Rock – sequins, stomping beats and super 70s platforms ahoy! It’s a Glitter Rock special, including interviews with The Glitter Band, Angie Bowie and heirs to the throne Semi Precious Weapons
*Nashville Pussy - talk surviving power cuts, parties with Lemmy and a hostile record industry
*Hardcore Superstar – the mental and the patient; Jocke Berg explains why fans were kept waiting for HCSS’s latest “metal illness inspired” album
*Batusis – Dead Boy Cheetah Chrome tells us all about his new venture with Noo Yoik Doll Sylvain Sylvain.
*Rowland S.Howard – remembered by Bad Seeds biographer Robert Brokenmouth
*Evelyn Evelyn – a surreal conversation with the conjoined twin duo ‘discovered’ by the Dresden Dolls’ Amanda Palmer.
*The Four Horsemen – Horseman and Love Reaction man Haggis recounts some very rock ‘n’ stories indeed. Makes The Dirt read like Enid Blyton.
