a place for zinesters - writers and readers
Today is the last day of International Zine Month and the last activity is to write a blog on We Make Zines. So here it is.
This month was good. It could have been better really, I wrote all about it on my 24-Hour Zine Thing issue for this year. I expected most of this month to be all about crafts, and that every day I would make something artsy in relation to zines. But a lot of it was non-crafty stuff. So I was a little disappointed.
But really, this month I also got a chance to trade more zines than I usually do, send out more of my own zines to different people, get to know other zinesters and find various distros... I also got a chance to table with my zines for the first time ever, at a second-hand sale/street party in downtown Jerusalem. And that was awesome!
I also started visiting this page more often and revamped the entire thing. I customized the hell out of it until I was pleased with the appearance of my profile.
Plus, today, I also posted a bunch more stuff on my Hadass420 Etsy shop and the Crafts for a Cause one. This was something that was a long time coming and I never got around to it until last night.
If it weren't for International Zine Month, none of this would have happened and I would have just kept on procrastinating, or watching TV or reading yet another stack of Stephen King books which I love too much for my own good.
I'm really happy that I decided to embark on this challenge and I am looking forward to next year!
