a place for zinesters - writers and readers
So, for International Zine Month, me and Rachel Lee-Carman are going to do something we've been talking about for a while. Namely: make a revised second edition of The Prince Zine. The Prince Zine is a zine that came out a couple years ago and is an in depth look into the-artist-currently-known-as-Prince. Not really a fanzine, but a zine for the obsessively intrigued.
The zine went over a lot better than I thought it would and there's been a lot of kind things said about it. Which is great! But, now's the time to get critical. I'd like to know what you would like to see changed or added to the second edition. Even though it took a couple years to get the first one out, it still felt rushed and I'd like to make up for it with this one. So, message me with any ideas/suggestions/comments/weird facts you have! It would be SO appreciated.
I'm also going to try to have a new issue of Basic Paper Airplane out, which is going to be the first non-themed issue in a long time. So if you have any ideas for that, I'm open to that, too! It could become anything.
All this will hopefully be ready in time for the Portland Zine Symposium! (fingers crossed.)
