We Make Zines

a place for zinesters - writers and readers

I just wanted to post and say how EXCITED I am about today and what today brings.

Today is a zine fair at the Penrith Regional Gallery in Emu Plains. I am especially delighted today because I have loads of new stock in the distro and I can't wait to see Tiny Paper Hearts new felt animals. I also can't wait to find a new notebook to spew my thoughts into all the time. It's been far too long without a pen in my bag.

Besides this, I also just sent off some $$ for a zine grab bag from Alex Wrekk.. This is very very cool because I will have the opportunity to go through zines I'd never EVER get the chance to read. Everytime a parcel pick up slip arrives at my house I will be racing off in hopes it's my grab bag.

I also woke up in the night to my gorgeous Henry cat who was asleep on my chest staring at me. I love the power animals have over me and how much this little creatures melted me.

I'm excited because I have so many new zines arriving recently for the distro. Alex's zines arrived today (Brainscan #19 - #20-something, Fueled by Popcorn and one day soon *fingers crossed* Stolen Sharpie Revolution)... There's also some things high on my agenda such as Badgemaker christmas present, making a distro stamp, meeting new folk at the zinelover's picnic in Sydney, reading new zines and getting some zine books)

But for now, I am forever excited and I hope that these great things bring great joy. If you, by any chance, consider getting rid of some extra zines let me know.

Zine Fair was worlds of fun, especially due to two good conversations with school teachers concerning implementing zines into their day to day teaching.
