Dish from the Inside:

Some think because these recordings are just voice and guitar, that someone pushes a cassette recorder in my apartment and that's it. Not so at all! Pam Irwin is my engineer and she's one of the best in Dallas. She's recorded and/or done sound for everyone from Willie Nelson to Dixie Chicks, Ray Charles and Roy Orbison to LeAnn Rimes. She teaches recording at Valley View Community College, here in Dallas and has a gold record for one of David Byrne's CD projects. She's done wonders in the studio, with my pitchy voice and my 40 year old Silvertone. Nothing over produced, our goal was to keep it simple and basic.
