We Make Zines

a place for zinesters - writers and readers

Finished the zine section of my site.

Since quitting my job in February, I have really begun to miss web design and development. There is just something so appealing to me about spending 8 hours staring at HTML, CSS and jQuery.

That said, I spent this morning and afternoon adding a zine section to my portfolio site. I think it looks pretty good!

CHECK IT OUT.

Waiting for my printing contact to come back so I can make copies of Delusion #2. I'm waffling between what the theme for Pieces #3 should be. I have content for both the Jobs issue and the Fears issue. Decisions, decisions.

Yep. It uses the jQuery library. I found it here: Easy Slider.

I have so many jQuery goodies in my delicious.com account, just sitting there waiting for a purpose. Too bad I can't build anything on my own yet. I'd love to make a plugin one day. :)

I've just started with PHP, so I don't know any good tricks yet. Haha. I like the slideshow thing of your zines. That's javascript, right?

I think all four will be under 2 ounces. If that's the case, postage to AU is about two dollars.

It looks really good, as do your zines. How much would postage be for all four to Australia?

Thank you! I'm actually learning PHP myself, and a little jQuery. Right now I can only do very simple stuff with those. My forte has always been HTML and CSS.

Are you learning and fun PHP tricks? :D

Your design skills are awesome! I'm learning (or trying to) PHP right now.
