We Make Zines

a place for zinesters - writers and readers

too many places to post too many things when i really don't feel like typing and would much rather just watch new music videos on youtube.

i will be teaching a mini-zine workshop at the creative space here in barrie. randomly i was talked into this by my newest artist friend jill. i am horrified that i agreed (since i am not a good teacher) and excited at the prospect of brining zines back to barrie (or at least getting a handful of people interested in small press).

i have also been tossing around the idea of having a zine library in my shop. barrie's first zine library. maybe.

as for the building of zines, i haven't. plain and simple. but i have plans to... so that counts, right?

no, it just doesn't anymore.

i have two more 'young adventurer's guide to inanimate objects' mini-zines written, i need a third and then they will be published.

i have plans to make some elaboarte accordian zines. probably tiny, probably complicated. maybe photographs. maybe just text. maybe some of each paired up. all kind of thoughts about this half baked scheme are floating around in my mind.

other than that, i've mostly been writing what might turn into a book some day. i'm not sure yet, it's just random bits of stuff that could and will fit together in the future, but will it be enough to be a novel or will it just be cut down into a new issue of 'she was ready for anything'? only time will tell.

and.... that's it really. what's new with you?
