a place for zinesters - writers and readers
Some of my better Poems and sayings, new this past week or so:
POEMS
the candle
goes out,
but the Moon
shines on.
I designed a dress
of all seashells ,
but no one could wear it.
the NOISE! Who could bear it -
a din of ocean roars!
the outlined hand
on the cave wall
says both 'hi'
and ... 'stop'.
In the chapel
they dust the pews.
Up rise dust mites
that linger in the light.
Then after all
the dusting is done,
they settle ever so
slowly back down.
leaves fall
memories fade
Time to sleep.
But I don't want to.
Too many fireflies
going on and off.
To write the biggest number, I
had to fill every inch of the universe
with nines, with tiny little nines,
nines on the microscopic level,
nines with enough weight to clump together.
Every atom had to be shaped like a nine.
I saw my natal chart
as a game board with movable pieces.
Let me explain
how invisibility works.
Light is a spectrum.
Imagine a line.
It's in the middle
where we can see.
But boost the energy
of the visible light
to a slightly higher
vibrating frequency
and "POOF" you're gone
now in...vis...a...___
SAYINGS
He's out to lunch and not paying the check.
I've decided to live in the bookstore and just visit my home.
Sometimes the mystical can be very down to earth.
If it's made up, it's real NOW.
Comment on Photo: I used to look much younger.
Every person is two people; the person you meet at first and the person they turn into.
Saying something profound in simple words, (the most moving poetry).
