We Make Zines

a place for zinesters - writers and readers

We just sent out this month's email update, so I thought I'd pass it along here, too!

New for August!
Conceptualizing Confluence (Zine)- Karl Blau's audio recording zine! ($2)
Dirty Sweet Experience- ST (CD)- dreamy, slightly fuzzy, goodness. ($5)
DIY or Don't We? A Zine About Community (Zine)- Olympia's own Nikki Sabalu put together this awesome compilation zine of the ways different people from different parts of the world experience community. ($3)
Foxdye & The Baron- Chopped and Screwed Vol. 2 (Tape)- all yr favorite songs...slowed down. ($2)
Funwater Awesome #3 (Zine)- one of my very favorite zine comes out with two issues at once! ($4)
Funwater Awesome #4 (Zine)- excerpts from a chapter book in progress, weird funwater history, reviews of swings. ($4)
Gunmothers Head- Her Husband Didn't (Tape)
- this is my jam for car trips. Tucker Haendler of Buffalo Voice's solo project. ($5)
Ilse Content Vol 5 (Zine)- a classic (according to me), just put back in print. ($3)
I Want To Do This All Day Long (CDX2)- this month's feature! definitely check this out, it is awesome. ($12)
Invisible River- ST (CD)- some of the most talented Olympia musicians got together and make an album (and, of yeah, it turned out really good). ($10)
Kid Whatever- Cheap Plastic Crap (7")- danceable weirdness. ($4)
Mend My Dress #2 (Zine)- Neely Bat Chestnut is such a bare-bones good writer, I'm so glad to be finally carrying her zines. ($2)
Mend My Dress #4 (Zine)- what's scarier than a rabbit? Evidently, nothing. ($2)
Peroxide Mocha- Boogie in Yr Butt (7")- all I have to say is: Eddie Murphy cover. ($4)

Restocks

Basic Paper Airplane #2 (Zine)- recently reprinted for the portland zine symposium. ($2)
Foxdye/Baron- Fox'd n Screwed Vol. 1 (Tape)- slow and hilarious. ($2)
Ilse Content Vol 6 (Zine)- i re-read this issue while putting it back up on the distro and was reminded how great and important it is. ($2)
Polka Dot Dot Dot- Spring of Alchemy and Amory (7")- this album is magic, why it's not our bestseller is beyond me. ($7)
Resume of Charm #9 (Zine)- like Lars and the Real Girl. In zine form. ($4)
The Baron- Summer Soul Vol. 1 (Tape)- for this second printing, it's actually has a case and is cute. ($3)

Sale (!?)
it feels a little weird, we've never had a sale before and sales generally sounds kinda sleazy... but, hey, these things are cheaper now.
Letters- In Case We Lose What We Have (CD)- a new Letters album is coming out in the next couple weeks and, since the price has always been $5 at shows, we figured it should be the same online. ($5) (there's also now a digital version available for $3)
Spring to Sping Calendar and Compilation (Cal/Handmade Print/CD)- since the spring to spring year is a few months in, the price has gone down some dollars on this. I will say: the compilation alone is worth seven bucks. ($7)
