a place for zinesters - writers and readers
I moved in with a relative a few months ago, after my girlfriend moved out.
My car committed suicide in the process.
So, I've been without transportation for awhile.
I couldn't find what I want, in my price range (very cheap).
So, I decided to just get something temporarily, until something better comes along.
My aunt's neighbor had a van for sale, not really to my liking.
But, it was only $700 and runs kinda OK after it warms up.
After a tune-up, it should run better.
The rear door handle needs fixing too.
It looks EXACTLY like my mom's old van that she had in the 1990's, except for the hippie stickers and layers of pot resin over all the windows.
I HATE driving, always have.
But, not being able to get to places where you need to be is even worse.
I read about Alex Wrekk's zine/book tours.
I think she may have also mentioned it in her podcast once (Nobody Cares About Your Stupid Zine).
It will be interesting to see how I can merge the worlds of zine touring and music touring together.
I don't have any insurance.
But, the van has coverage by Jesus!
