Well, I finished my 24 hour zine with 2 1/2 hours to spare. I worked from 10:00 last night to 9:00 this morning, slept till 1:00 this afternoon, and finished at about 7:30 tonight. I am EXHAUSTED! It think I drank between 6 and 10 cups of coffee in the last 24 hours.
I ended up writing a 24-page half-size zine that is simply called "24." It is a collection of 24 lists, each with a different topic and each with 24 items in it. They include "24 Things I Can See from Where I'm Sitting," "24 Facts About Mab," "24 New Experiences I've Had in 2009," "24 Reasons Ferrets Have Stolen My Heart," and "24 of My Favorite Anagrams," among others. A few of them are a little mundane, but I tried really hard to be creative with my answers for each list. I learned quite a lot, such as that I don't edit or type well when sleep deprived and to be flexible with my plans (I didn't stick 100% to the goals I set when I signed up, and I'm ok with that).
I printed one copy on my crappy home copier, but I'm planning to print some more very soon at the copy shop. I'm up for trades as soon as I do!
