It's 4:25 in the afternoon in Lawrence, KS. I just stapled the last of my 24 Hour Zine zines.
Called Open Book, this new zine turned out well. I am pleased with it. It's not perfect, but I've never seen a zine that was.
I met my goals of #1 simply completing the zine in 24 hours (or less) #2 making it more visually stimulating than past zines and #3 writing more honestly.
It includes 38 things about me (and a shout out to Eunice for the idea), writing about why I live in Lawrence, KS, writing about my body image issues, and my recent run in with 81 chiggers and a tick.
If anyone wants a copy, I am asking $1 or trade.
Yippee! I'm pleased.
I'm also super tired and my house is trashed, since I haven't done any cleaning up after myself in the last 20 hours or so. I am going to lie down in my bed, work on a letter to my honey, clean the house tomorrow before my friend comes over for lunch.
Mission accomplished.
