the latest issue of my zine, motor city kitty, is all done! it was supposed to be a split zine but after waiting months for its counterpart to arrive, i got a little impatient and decided to publish it on its own. it includes some stuff on my personal queer identity, my first long(er) bike ride from kent to cleveland and back, abuse and some other topics. i will be sending it out to subscribers and some distros this week. if you'd like a copy, get in touch! its 32 pages, 1/4 sized and costs $2 ($3 international.) i can do a few trades. just get in touch!
also, i got really excited the other day when i got home from a long morning at work to find the typewriter ribbon i'd ordered for my awesome teal smith-corona (i bought it at einstein's for $3 this summer!) had arrived. i was not so excited to find that now with ribbon, the keys are very hard to press, sometimes don't like to move and the ribbon doesn't stay down so i can't even see what i'm typing. a possible $16 down the drain? i hope not. there must be some way to fix these things.
my roommate's brother just walked by, pointed at the typewriter next to me and said "what is that? it doesn't have a screen. i don't understand it." he is not a child, just an uber hipster trying to be funny and ironic at all times.
