Food Zine / Other Thoughts

[Bri Zine]

First off, can I just say I am so friggin happy I finally got this thing to work? Because for about a month I got to read on LJ and myspace from everyone else how awesome We Make Zines is, and yet it wouldn't let me sign up/sign in. But yay! I'm finally here and lovin it!

Second, I'm slowly working on a food zine called "My Little Cookbook." Or at least I think thats gonna be the title. It was originally gonna be a food issue of my zine "Motor City Kitty" but then I decided I might wanna do it more than once...so yay! Food zine! The point in my mentioning this? That you should contribute, duh!

I'm also willing to print anything on eating disorders/dieting/whatever if you want to send it my way. Anyone who contributes and has their stuff printed will get the zine for free.

"Motor City Kitty" #11 is actually done, but its a split zine and I am still waiting for Chrissy Studmuffin to send me her half of the zine. She's told me she's done with it, and tried sending the file once but it didn't work. I've been waiting about a month for her to resend it, so who knows when its gonna be done. I hope I don't have another zine that never gets published (this happened with MCK #5 which was supposed to be a split with my friend Alex's zine Thundercat!, but I finished my half really quickly and he never even started his.) I guess this time around I'd be smarter and just fill the rest of the pages or something.

Lastly, I am obsessed with the song "You Don't Know Me" by Ben Folds (featuring Regina Spektor.) I'm not even a huge Ben Folds or Regina Spektor fan, but this song is awesome and so damn catchy.
