Philly Zine Fest

I just returned from the successful Philly Zine Fest on Oct. 5 at the Rotunda in University City. Thank you to the organizers for putting on this event and to being so welcoming to Brooklyn zinesters Brandi Lee and redguard, who still got a table even though we were driving around lost in Philadelphia for an hour.

The turnout was good, the space was wonderful and child-friendly, I made a lot of great trades and met some terrific zinesters. The highlight for me was Sarah Arr!'s zinemaking basics workshop. It included seasoned zinesters, total newbies, kidz and grownups. Everyone made a page about what zines mean to them. Sarah is going to put them together in a comp zine.

I'll report futher on who I met and zines I received.
