a place for zinesters - writers and readers
We are thriving in this isolated little oasis in the desert with nearly 2000 zines in the collection and counting! We have gotten so many great donations from you and have been humbled by the outpouring of creativity we receive weekly in our PO BOX!
We met some great people this year and had our first opportunity to table with other zinesters at the ALA conference here in LV! A BIG thank you to Matt, Kelsey Violet and the other organizers we met for inviting us.Our local zinesters came out in full force with some amazingly creative zines including a 3d screen printed gem for the world. Had a great time getting to know new people and getting to know others a little better over a cup of "char bucks" and zines :) Thank you all for the good times!
We are looking to expand several categories this year in particular so we need your help! Our DIY, Transportation and GBLTQ sections need filling out so send us those pages!
We are also looking for local volunteers who would like to help in the libraries day to day maintenance.
The following are examples of what we need help with
- Cleaning up the space once a week (clearing non DIY/zine related flyers out, wiping down any spills)
- Re-shelving zines from the basket
- Cataloging / Inventory
- Tabling at events to raise awareness within the community
- Other stuff :)
We are always looking for new ways to improve LVZL so if you have any ideas, suggestions or other ways you think you can help let us know!

Thank you for your support!!!!!!!!
Peace Love and Zines!!!
