i am antsy as all hell to make some zines that have been sitting on the backburner for months or maybe years...
unfortunately, my hard drive crashed in that ever so delightfully unsavable way, so i have no computer attached to my printer and in turn, no way to print out the zines i have written.
fortunately, nothing was lost in this crash as i am backing up everything on an external hard drive for good measure. for once, my hard drive bailed and i lost nothing! bonus!
i guess i could find a solution to this situation, but i have had numerous other things filling up my time. like the re-assembly of my home studio (took 2 days and is now fully functional and perfect). so, i should get cracking on a way to get things from my external drive to my printer.
the zines i will be soon working on:
1. "i was thinking about having myself a mustache" -75 out of context quotes-
a new zine series i'm working away at, i collect out of context quotes. i've been writing down funny and random things people say for years, and what else could i possibly do with this but publish it in zine form. this zine will be 1/4 size and handbound by me.
2. "misery is my muse vol.3"
the photography issue. i've written a story that was written so long ago, i barely remember what its about. i plan on writting each line on people and photographing it. my first session photographing this is wednesday and i'm so jazzed to finally get working on issue 3 of my storybook zine.
3. a one time small zine about my 10th year as a zinester, yet to be named.
4. a series of mini-zines written like those getting to know local wildlife books about things like shopping carts and plastic bags. also yet to be named, yet to be fully baked. mostly just a lot of notes and nonesense right now, but someday it will all come together into something good.
now that its all been said on the interweb, i must make it true! who else has big plans for the beginning stages of 2010?
