I'm organising an all-dayer as part of
100 Shows for Haiti, which is basically events and shows going on in different parts of the world between January 7th-16th, in aid of One Hundred for Haiti and Haitian Women for Haitian Refugees. (www.100showsforhaiti.com)
It's to be held at The Brudenell Social Club, Hyde Park, Leeds on Saturday 8th January.
There's going to be arts, crafts, zines and baking stalls/tables (with a percentage of profits going to the charity, rather than paying a fee for a table, but that will all be worked out!), vegan food and a raffle with all proceeds from the ticket sales going to the charity. I'm roping in local businesses such as vintage shops (I work at Blue Rinse), record labels (Farrel at TDON) and stall-holders to donate goodies to the raffle!
People tabling so far are;
People from The Birds Yard space in Leeds
There will be bands playing in the evening (such as Serious Sam Barrett!) and proceeds from the ticket sales for the gig will be going to the charity (after the costs are taken out).
I'm moving fast with this, as soon as everybody has confirmed and we have a complete line-up, the art work will be ready and it's going to be vastly promoted in and around Leeds/Yorkshire, online (and on the 100 shows for Haiti website!), in local press, flyering at gigs and other events, posters in shops... etc.!
If there's any distros, zine makers, crafty types who would like to table, please get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you xo
