New issue of Rad Dad!

Always a favorite around these parts, the new issue of Rad Dad arrived last night. We couldn't be more pleased.

Etsy Sale

I've been looking for an excuse to use one of those coupon codes on Etsy for a while now and I guess being on the verge of our 500th sale on there is a good enough one. So, until the end of the month, you get 15% off any purchase, whenever you use the code below.

When we started it last year, I thought it would just be a few extra sales, so it's been a wonderful surprise. Thanks.…

Gardening zine recommendations?

Hey, thought I'd ask again this year since didn't find anything last time around: anyone know of/make a good zine on gardening? I'm a big gardener and would really love to distro a good guide. I find the books out there are a little intimidating to the beginner, so I've always thought it'd be a good place for a zine to step up to the job, but have yet to find something.

The second issue of Bridget Irish and Hannah Horovitz's "Hair" is here!

Hair is one of the most interesting zines around. Using only the subject of human hair as a premise, they create a wonderfully interesting and drop dead gorgeous zine. Then they only make a few and they sell out and become collector's items (at least that's my guess as to what they're doing). Last issued they peaked everyone's interest by interviewing Tobi Vail of Bikini Kill fame…

Now on the Facebook

After continual prodding from distro friends, we broke down and did it: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Ms-Valerie-Park-Distro/129344460466581

We just started it a few minutes ago, so nobody likes it or friends or whatever happens on the Book, so hey, maybe you could go and check it out and click a button?

And, as you may be able to tell, we don't otherwise use Facebook and have little idea about…

Holiday Sale!...(?)

Wow, we're snowed in here in Olympia, Wa, so I guess that means the time has come again. Though we tend not to care much about most holidays, we thought we would have a sale anyway! Maybe think of it as an end-of-the-year sale, instead. You have two options of how to go about it:

1. Every 5 zines you buy, you get one free.

2. Spend $50 and get $10 of credit to use how you see fit.

Pick one or the other. In both cases, just email us after… Continue

New issue of Rad Dad!

Rad Dad #18 came in a couple weeks ago and thought I'd do a post dedicated to this because it is SO GOOD! It's ridiculous how much I like this zine and how much some people avoid it because it's about parenting. But, let me just say again: THIS ZINE IS FOR EVERYBODY! It's really great.

Description: No zine makes me think about what I want… Continue

Newsletter for October!

Hello! A new season is upon us and, though I'm ridiculously cold, I couldn't be happier. I love fall. This last month has been harvesting from the garden, touring, being sick, and getting the house ready for some winter nesting. It's been tumultuous in its seeming calm. It's kind of hard to believe so much happened in such a short amount of time. But it did and it was (mostly) good and here we are at a new month, a new season, and a new newsletter. Hope you all are well and I would love to send… Continue

New issue of Race Revolt is here!

After a long hiatus, Race Revolt 5 is here! This large-sized compilation zine on race, gender, and activism is out of England and doesn't often make it over to our shores, so we're honored to be carrying it. We also got a few more issues of the Race Revolt Collection, a best of from the first four issues.

I will also… Continue
