I found this at Z.A.P.P. this past weekend in Seattle when I was up there for the Zine Librarian (un)Conference. I thought my fellow zine enthusiasts would appreciate it too.

So, Marc and I recorded the very first Nobody Cares About Your Stupid Zine Podcast yesterday! I did a bit of editing and I still need to do some more. I worry that the amazing theme song that Androo wrote for us will outshine our podcast. Seriously, the song is amazine (yes, that's right AMAZINE) we played it a dozen times and danced around the dining room!
I hope to have the song… Continue

Many years ago Love letters to Irony was going to be the name of the compilation of Brainscan zines... but that is not ever going to come out so I thought I would use the title for something. It is the name of my new blog type thing. You can find it here.
I have a livejournal that I have had for many years but it is mostly friends only. it holds secrets and exasperation and semi-filtered thoughts that fall out of my head. Love letters to irony is int… Continue

There are actually 4 of them I think but I'm just going to post these two.
I need a shower... I have been working on SSR for about 3 days now and every time I look for a Sharpie it seems that I have put my hair up with it. I have been wearing the same pajama style clothes: long johns, a thread bare velour leopard print skirt, a 2008 Portland zine symposium shirt and the same sweatshirt I have worn everyday for the past week. I am a model of class!
Still, I'm getting things done. I moved from m… Continue

So, I have been having this battle with my zine collection and my shelves. It comes down to the fact that this zine collection that is over 15 years old and even though it was picked over by my ex-husband I still have a ridiculous amount of zines and not enough shelf space for them. Over the years I have come to find that the zines that are dearest to me are ones that have been created by friends and penpals so those are the ones that will be staying with me. however, even after that filter t… Continue
Let's see, what's up in my zine world this week... i taught a workshop at the IPRC about selling zines and things on Etsy and I also educated everyone on the Joy's of We Make Zines. it was fun! I volunteered at Wordstock on Saturday but I didn't make it to the IPRC Text Ball because my old housemate Abeni showed up with her baby so we hung out and ate candy instead.
Sunday was my shift at the IPRC. Sunday is usually pretty dead but the place was ho… Continue

So, I tired to post this in the events section and it wouldn't work!
I was asked to take part in this exhibit, which is awesome! I even had to write an artist statement and stuff. It is at the Interstate Firehouse Culture Center that is 3 blocks away from my house. I made a giant collage of images from Brainscan and I have two shelves of my zines.... all of the zines I have printed since 2003.
Other pieces include artist books, posters by various Portland printers, zine collections from The sm… Continue

I'm currently in my bed in my cold room with my laptop under a fake down comforter that is fantastically warm and making me not want to get out of bed into the rest of the frigid house. You see, apparently our house has been entered into some sort of contest to see who can hold out from turning their heat on the longest. I'm usually the only one here during the day I just close my self in the office and wear my new hat with ear flaps to stay warn. I stay even warmer on days where I have coffee t… Continue
