Minor Leagues - 100 page zine of drawing, comics and writing

The first issue of my new zine, Minor Leagues is available now

Contains 100 pages of comics, drawings, stories and writing about how days go by, a video rental shop, walking, travelling in Mississippi, a snowball fight from 1995 and more. Thinking a lot about how things and people come and go.

It picks up where my last series SMOO left off, detailing things that…

SMOO 8: memoir comic zine available now

My new zine is available for pre-order now!

This is the first issue of SMOO in eighteen months. The zine tells the story of a year, from September to September. A weird year; bird-watching on Theodore Roosevelt Island, contemplating; sadness; drinking; summer and new starts; Brooklyn underpasses. Drawn quickly, but with heart, in a week, here in Bristol. I’m really proud of this one.

These should be posted in late Feb.

Call for submissions to Better, Drawn - comics and health issues

Better, drawn is a new place for people to share stories about long-term and chronic mental and physical illnesses, told in the form of short comics. The site is a way for people to share experiences that might otherwise be difficult to talk about openly. In fact, we think that sometimes things can be said better when they’re drawn; hopefully, these comics might help some people…

Announcing 'Better, Drawn', where people can share comics about living with long-term health issues

I've just launched a new blog called 'Better, drawn'. It's a blog where people with experience of long-term or chronic mental and physical health issues can share their experiences in the form of comics. If this is something you might be interested either in reading or taking part in, please spread the word.

I know that many people here write about these things in their zines and comics on a regular basis, and if you'd like to contribute a short one page story or… Continue

We've also started a collaborative comic-zine, called Bearpit. The first issue was released earlier this year, and the second is under-way, slated for a summer release. You can read all about it here.

Most importantly, though, we're an open forum, so if…

Call for contributions to a new Zine Library, opening soon in Bristol!

All the information is posted below:
