Musea weekly contest

The answer to, and winner (if any) for, our last contest question of:This first musical conductor (before him it was usually the first violinist or organist) actually died from conducting! Name him and tell how conducting music, did him in!IS: Jean-Baptiste Lullly (1632-1687). Instead of a small baton he used a 6 foot long staff that he banged on the ground for the beat. He hit his foot, it became gangrenous, and he died two months later.

There is a zine newsgroup called We Make Zines, and on it I suggested that we need to remember how important pioneers like Steve Jobs were to the desktop explosion, which in turn led to a golden age of zines, of which my zine Musea was a small part. Muse Murals

September 19, was the day I did my 5,300th art work. Like most I do, it was small, and it was done with colored pencil over a copy of an original drawing I'd done weeks ago.

This was not a good art work, matter of fact it didn't work very well at all. But it was worth keeping. Usually I know soon enough if an art work is going to work or not, and i seldom waste time on bad work - when it's not working, I stop and don't finish it.
