Freedom APA FAQ

Why would I want to join an Alternative Press Association?

Freedom APA is a participatory group that welcomes your creativity among kindred spirits. People “join” to share their work & communicate with others who honor the creative process.

How does it work?

Your creations are sent to the central mailer and are then collated into a “bundle” and mailed via the US Postal Service to everyone on the Freedom APA mailing list four…

Adolescent-friendly zines wanted

Greetings!

Ye olde DJ is now working in a short-term rural residential treatment shelter for court-ordered adolescents & I would be grateful for contributions of zines for my creative expression / zine group that are non-triggering and are upbeat and positive for all genders. I am also building a small zine library at the shelter. Thank you!

One Minute Zine Reviews UPDATE

Greetings folks!

In 2016 I am passing the torch of One Minute Zine Reviews (the paper zine) to my son Stephen J. Lazotte. Zines and items of curiosity may be sent to him directly at PO Box 383 Manchester NH 03105. I will continue to write posts occasionally at zinereviews.blogspot.com. Paper zines of zine reviews are becoming scarce, so let's support Steve with this project that he had graciously accepted.

Round Robin Proposal

I’m trying to initiate a Round Robin postal mail circle. This would involve trading zines / mail art / cassettes / or other creations. How it would work is: I compile a mailing list from interested parties. The first person on the list sends an item of interest to the second person on the list, then they send their own item to the third person & so on. It is a mystery as to what you will receive from the previous person on the list, which makes it fun and delightful. When the circle…
