International ZIne Month 2011 - part two

Following on from part one and what events I attended as part of International Zine Month here in Auckland.

Hands On Poetry

I used to write various poems when I was a lot younger (even won a couple of contests at school with those poems) but haven't written any since then.

The Hands On Poetry was an event focusing on poetry zines and National Poetry Day. The launch of self-published poetry anthology Hands Like Mirrors was the…

International ZIne Month 2011 - part one

So last month was jam packed with zine stuff in my city. The organisers of Auckland Zinefest and other ziney people put on a full calender of fun things. These are the things I attended.

I am…

Should be writing..

I made my first zine (and so far the only perzine I have ever finished) back in 2002. I was about 16/17 and was very proud of it even though I rushed to get it finished in time for a concert.

The last zine I made was back in 2005/2006 (I can't remember which year exactly).

With 2011: The Revenge of Print I was all set with enthusiasm and ideas to do zines this year.

I have various bits of paper around with what I wanted to have in issue two of On A Sugar High. Skipping…
