I am posting because I am currently looking to swap rooms with a creative, low-maintenance person who can get along with a house full of musicians, artists, and fellow zine-makers. I currently live in Oakland, CA and am dying to get out of the bay area mid-May or in June. Duration maybe 2 weeks to a month, depending on your schedule too. A close friend passed away this morning.

So this morning I read a facebook status of a friend, Mila (she was known as Stephanie and was the frontman of Quiet Rot, a short-lived ‘riot grrrl’ band from my hometown). She wrote that our friend, Rizal just passed away at 7 a.m. I’m shocked. Straight away I remembered my wife said once, about quite a few of my friends died at a young age. First it was Syukree, then Abroko, then Aiman, and now Rizal! I can’t help but cried a few times…

Zine Classifieds?

I love to browse the classifieds in the Zine Worlds and send out random postcards and notes to the people that are looking for penpals, submissions, mail art and the like. So, I'm playing with the idea of making a zine centered around classifieds like the Classifieds section in the Zine Worlds. I would love to hear what people think about this idea. Musea E-mail club #477 Major New Publication on Puccini by Fellow Zinester

Fellow zinester Iris J. Arnesen, editor of "The Opera Glass" has just announced the release of a new major work on Puccini's operas titled "The Romantic World of Puccini: A New Critical Appraisal of the Operas" ($45 from publisher McFarland & Company).
