'The Screever' issue five

So yeah, issue five of 'The Screever' is now complete; 48 A6 pages of black and white photocopied awesome-ness, featuring interviews with Stourbridge post-metallers MOTHERTRUCKER, Canadian punk / proper-screamo label ZEGEMA BEACH RECORDS, Charlotte from hand-made focussed SHOP IN THE SQUARE, artist / illustrator LUMBERJACK JOE, and local black-metallers ARROGANT DESTRUKTOR, plus a load of reviews, some puzzles, and a guide to bread-making. Trades are very welcome, or you can buy a copy for a…

'Larry' issue six...

So, it's been a good twenty or so months since I last made an issue of 'Larry', but number six finally got finished late last year. This one is A5, 28 pages long, photocopied in black and white, and as always tied with string and wrapped with a cartridge-paper cover with a lil' window cut out.

Amongst other things, this one has writings on a love of…

'The Screever' issue four...

So yeah, issue four of me and Nat's zine The Screever is finished, and it's an EPIC 48 pages! It's only a teeny A6 size and photocopied in black and white, but there's a load of awesome stuff in it, including interviews with the mighty Stourbridge-based post-rock band …

'The Screever' issue two

A good three years after the first issue, me and Nat finally managed to complete the barely anticipated second issue of 'The Screever'. This one is A6, 40 pages long, and has a tonne of pretty cool people / stuff in it, such as folk-punk-troubadour Elly Kingdon, Stourbridge based experimental label Carnage Club, the wonders of 'National Theatre Live', awesome Birmingham-based publication Zine Arcade, and a tonne of…

'Larry' issue four...

The fourth issue of 'Larry' is A5, 32 pages, black and white, and as always printed on recycled paper. Each one is hand-tied, numbered, and has a little window cut out of a cartridge paper cover using a slightly crooked ruler.

This issue's content includes job-hunting, sports, walking, a guide to stretching paper, and a bunch of other things, with illustrations throughout, but the scan quality on the drawings is pretty rough this time around.

Forty copies have been…

'Larry' issue three

'Larry' issue three is A5, 32 pages, black and white, and as always printed on recycled paper (though this time it's 120gsm paper as oppose to 80, so it's a little heavier...). Each copy is hand-tied, numbered, and has a little window cut out of a cartridge paper cover, this time using a sharper scalpel, but with a rather crooked ruler.

Content in this issue includes friendships, promiscuity, visual identity, a guide to the drawing technique of sgraffito, and a bunch of other…
