I finished this back in July, and it has taken me this long to get around to posting it here.
The way that this zine was made:
First I did a very large very intricate drawing. Next I photocopied it. Next I cut up the photocopies to the size of the pages. Next I photocopied these pages, but what is cool is that I photocopied them onto the back of paper that was already used on one side. The side that we didn't want to see was folded in. Then I…

Hi there! I have been handed over the Welland Zine Library by Jen Pilles to move to Niagara College, my place of study, for students to take advantage of. I am right now in the process of updating and re-vamping the collection for the new school year (starting September 9th), and need your help!
I am especially lacking feminist, women's health, food, mental health and queer zines especially.
If you are interested in donating a copy of your zine, please message me or e-mail…

I've just finished my zine for the
24 hour zine thing project - we were supposed to make a 24 page zine from scratch in July in a single 24 hour period. since this was my first zine, I didn't quite fit in with the project rules - but I made the zine within 24 hours, though spread over the weekend. I typed it up on my new old Gabrielle 25 Adler typewriter - which took me ages! and gave my fingers a good workout. I went to Office Works today to do the…

Here's the cover and a sample page of my 24-Hour Zine Thing creation,
On Loving 'Dracula.' I created it on my birthday, July 16. It includes an essay on the 1931 film directed by Tod Browning and starring Bela Lugosi, quotes from the movie, recommendations for further reading, and many posters and images from the film. It's 24 pages, 1/2 size, black and white.
This was the first time I've done a cut-and-paste zine. It was lots of fun! If you have a day to devote to being…

Wooohoo!!!The zine workshop today was great! No that's an understatement, it was.......SUPER! We were seven strong, mostly friends/acquaintances who frequent the cafe we were at. I was a little nervous despite knowing everyone....okay so i was really nervous. I gave a brief talk on the history of the zine, asked a question or two around the table, then we got sticky! After browsing some zines in my collection to get everyone acquainted with the numerous…

Mentally Ill zine #2
More comix about my struggles with depression, PTSD, abuse, marriage and fatherhood, recovery and struggling to reclaim a sense of self. It’s cartoony but not light hearted. There is lots of potentially triggering stuff here. Consider yourself warned.

Hullo, We Make Zines.
In the mid 90s a few pals and I ran a zine from where we lived in the Scottish Borders, named
Sun Zoom Spark (after a Captain Beefheart song). We ended up getting it distributed throughout the uk. It was full of absurdist humour, trashy artwork and photography, bizarre stories, stuff about female sexuality + interviews with old time punkers like The Ramones & Jonathan Richman, the up 'n' coming Brit…
