I know this is meant to be a blog post, but I can only hope that someone reads it.
I am trying to start another mini-zine (my other mini-zine is a perzine called Army of Her) called Grrrl Power and it's all about female empowerment. I feel that with the everyday bombardment by the media, women are feeling more and more isolated as higher and increasingly impossible standards are expected of them, as well as, not being expected to succeed. Really self-contradictory.
Anyway, I… Continue

Hey my names Nicole, I live in Adelaide, Australia (for now). I’m a socially awkward person, I’m currently studing film photography. I collect Records and old cameras. I love music, mixtapes and mail art, baking cupcakes, taking photos, live music, and my typewriter. I keep a visual journal, I'm vegetarian, I have tattoos, a cat named Chetta-Bob and the best friends in the world.
I recently started a per zine called ‘It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are.’ containing my… Continue

This issue talks about an abusive relationship and getting out of it, first sexual encounters, sexual and emotional abuse, the basics of BDSM and how it
differs from abuse, queer identity, and silence, among other things. The
quote translates to "Pain and death are less involuntary than the

It was super cool to be at the Chicago Zine Fest. Thanks to everyone who stopped by the Junk Drawer table. I'm glad people enjoyed playing "Guess the Odds & Ends." I only wish I'd had more time to spend at all the other tables. There were so many great zines and zinesters there. Feel free to write your comments about the zine fest, junk drawers, or anything from the zine fest weekend. Looking forward to next year.

Nearing the end of February already. I have accomplished nothing.
The second issue of Hazel Harper has not yet been born. Maybe soon... maybe not.
It's the brain fog, you see. It seeps in, virtually unnoticed, making thoughts impossible to pull into focus. It is brought on by life. A mind numbing daily life of things that must be done. Wake up, feed the kids, shuffle them off to school, do what's necessary to keep the abode livable, talk to the necessary people, try to… Continue
