Howdy,
You may have heard that Tim and I were opening a zine distro. It's open! There are nearly 80 items in our mailorder catalogue, which you can see at
takecarezines.org
We are going to be at the diy markets outside The Hub in Newtown this Saturday, the 16th of January, with a suitcase full of zines. So if you live in Sydney come and check it out and save yourself some postage.

Three zines from my "Junk Drawer" series will be part of an exhibition of artist made books at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. There will be 13 other artists and writers featured, and from what I've seen, most seem to be pretty accomplished. And then there's me, with little photocopied, stapled zines. Nothing fancy, but somehow they're in an art exhibit. Well, I'm just glad that zines are being recognized along with other "art books," as they call them.
The show takes place…

There have been a few submissions for covers to #8's ButtRagMag and I just wanted to post to see if anyone has any feedback about this. The two artists are fucking asstastic and fabulous-the great Dexter Cockburn! He has adorned the cover of #5 and has put Rump Ranger and Buttmeister Fuller in #6&7! Then Hugo who did Churn comics and draws such great big butts! I have grabbed and put in zines with his permission. Now he has drawn a cover especially for ButtRagMag! While I have already…

BRAINSCAN 25-This zine has been five start and stop years in the making. I finally finished it in October of 2009 at the Anchor Archive zine residency in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Brainscan 25 Chronicles my Saturn return as a love story, an ending, and a new beginning with someone from my past. The Saturn Return is the time between ages 27 and 30 when the planet Saturn is in the same place it was at your birth. It is usually seen as a harbinger…

Hey folks, I’m looking for submissions for a zine called “Femme à barbe,” it’s mostly about women-identified folks with facial hair. Submissions from folks of all genders are totally welcome, and submissions about hair in general (not just facial) is also cool. I am especially looking for writings on personal experiences and comics. You can e-mail submissions to jenna.brager [at] gmail [dot] com preferably, and please put “submission femme a barbe” in the subject line. If you have any questions…

Hey everyone,
I'm going to be putting together a zine in the next few months about the affects of sexism on men. My idea of feminism revolves around duality and equality and you can't fix one side without looking at the other, and I feel this is something that is very poorly represented in the feminist community, and outside it. There is as strong an influence on men to dress/act/think a certain way as much as there is on women and people seem to forget this and blame the men…

I recently started a weekly comics trade with my friend
Matthew. He decided he wanted to learn how to draw and I decided that I need to draw more and want to learn how to make better comics. So we came up with the weekly trade! It's been a lot of fun and has really motivated me to draw a lot, something I really only did in the few months leading up to a new issue of my zine. Plus, having a collection of my friends…

I finished this back in July, and it has taken me this long to get around to posting it here.
The way that this zine was made:
First I did a very large very intricate drawing. Next I photocopied it. Next I cut up the photocopies to the size of the pages. Next I photocopied these pages, but what is cool is that I photocopied them onto the back of paper that was already used on one side. The side that we didn't want to see was folded in. Then I…

Hi there! I have been handed over the Welland Zine Library by Jen Pilles to move to Niagara College, my place of study, for students to take advantage of. I am right now in the process of updating and re-vamping the collection for the new school year (starting September 9th), and need your help!
I am especially lacking feminist, women's health, food, mental health and queer zines especially.
If you are interested in donating a copy of your zine, please message me or e-mail…

I've just finished my zine for the
24 hour zine thing project - we were supposed to make a 24 page zine from scratch in July in a single 24 hour period. since this was my first zine, I didn't quite fit in with the project rules - but I made the zine within 24 hours, though spread over the weekend. I typed it up on my new old Gabrielle 25 Adler typewriter - which took me ages! and gave my fingers a good workout. I went to Office Works today to do the…
