My first ever zine is a chance to look into the lives of the women in the hardcore community.
My zine isn't universal; it doesn't speak for every single woman. However, it simply provides a platform for those wanting to make their voices heard. The name's a gimmick; the zine talks wholly about women being accepted and contributing to a community. That's what's great about…Continue

I hear the acronym D.I.Y. (do it yourself) everywhere I go these days, it has put a new face on an old trend called problem solving. I used the D.I.Y. concept to create this publication you’re reading and I even bought into this popular trend, by purchasing a domain name, titled http://www.diy-publishing.com. There, I offer a small press publishing service to indie authors like myself. The D.I.Y. concept is definitely a…Continue

It has interviews, reviews, puzzles, little recipes, and a bunch of other stuff in it, and we've also recently done a new compilation tape and a new tote bag, all of which you can check out in our photos, or buy from our online shop here:…Continue

When I started this account quite a while ago, I wanted to trade zines, learn more about the zine culture and get my work out there. After a time away from zines, I'm back at it. One of my big projects is a continuation and more personal (& text heavy) zine about my experiences using Tinder. The original (down below) was a mini-zine inspired by some of the shitty things I came across using Tinder.…Continue

24 page 1/4 sized perzine on green paper
This one is about the experience of growing up holidaying in a caravan at French campsites. A typical holiday for British people, but probably weird and exotic for those from further away. Available for £2 from my shop (includes UK postage- international extra)

So yeah, we finally finished issue nine of 'The Screever' zine; it's 56 black and white A6 pages featuring interviews with Bristol indie-rock / RiotGrrrl punks IDESTROY, comic writer Dan Barnes of DEAD BRIDE COMICS, Jamie Brewer of skate collective GNARGORE, fantasy zine illustrator BODIE H., and local Stourbridge hardcore kids UNHINGED. Plus a bunch of reviews, a couple of recipes, puzzles, stencils, and a guide to making a…Continue
Finished a new zine. I'm donating one of my ukes to my younger brother for his birthday this month. It's part of his present. I think I am going to make a modified version of this zine and give that to him as well. He is a guitar player, so he can transfer a lot of theory.
Within this zine I explain exactly what got me interested in the ukulele and then I go on to teach seven of the most used chords (depending on who you talk to) and list a couple of songs where you might find…Continue

Over the past couple of days, I've been working on getting to grips with Photoshop CS5 and honestly, it's been pretty frustrating. However, it has led me to finally produce a four page mini zine themed around crystal healing. You can check it out for free here: http://issuu.com/mckenzie-quinn/docs/merged_document_2
Hopefully the new year will bring new ideas and significantly longer zines (maybe with better…Continue
Calhoun Press has just released a new zine, "Flying Colors," full of images made by the eponymous late-90s software program. Flying Colors is like Kid Pix, but with more gradients and better stamps. This zine uses Flying Colors to tell a symbolic fairy tale story about a brave prince defeating an evil…Continue
