a place for zinesters - writers and readers
I've finally gotten around to putting together my first zine, and find myself in a bit of a pickle - it's 60+ pages.
I tore up an entire box worth of my old sketch books and scribbles because I was sick of dragging it around when I moved. I've tried to cram them all together as tightly as possible into this one…

Topic: (Essays, anecdotes, comix, poetry) from gender variant folks telling stories of going through puberty and adolescence, and early adulthood experiences. Take that as…

It's called Both/And, and it's kind of about addiction, kind of about anxiety, kind of about meditation...I don't want to label it too much but it's most definitely QUEER and most definitely MENTAL HEALTH-based (I am a therapist). So, yeah, if anyone wants to trade, that would be rad. I also have issues of my previous zine called THE KEG THE CAKE THE COCK left too, which is also kind…Continue
SO, we're Frickstarting our own fundraiser! And in true zinester style, we're doing it ourselves. Please follow the link and consider helping QZAP with a donation and by sharing this with your queer zine loving friends:

A few years back I gave my friend Jackie a copy of my first zine, I Am Not The Rain, which I put together with my friend Amber. It’s a zine about a lot of things, mostly about life after experiencing childhood sexual abuse. Jackie was quite excellently awesome and asked Amber and I if she could turn it into a video story. The video also turned out to be quite excellently awesome. I have wanted to get it…Continue

The term “Dangerous Gifts” is usually associated with the special contributions of people with mental illness / variance. But there are many kinds of dangerous gifts we experience and share: the person who chooses to wear…Continue
