Some Junk Drawer zines can now be found in New York City. All are for sale at Bluestockings bookstore. They have a fine selection of books and zines, and a few Chicago zines. Junk Drawer issue #1 is in the zine library collection at ABC No Rio. Both these places are on the Lower East Side, and are worth checking out. They are great supporters of independent writing and zines.…
It's been a while since we've added any new zines, so many of us working on zines and never finishing them, but yesterday the new issue of Sugar and Heartstrings came out! We also restocked a couple, too. I've been out on tour for the last month, so I just started back to work today on some zines I was working on before I left. I included the rest of this month's update below for… Continue
yep, you heard [read] me right, i'm looking for new zines... so far, most of the zines i got are from the USA, Canada, UK, Australia, and i'm looking for something "different".
i'm mostly interested in zines from Japan (or any other Asian country) and from anywhere in Africa, since most of the things i get to read are with an occidental cultural/social view (ok, Australian zines are from the other side of the world - to an European - but still...). the only problem is they must be… Continue

I have been busy working / writing on a new zine since February. The content has been coming along nicely & I think I have enough stuff written up now, to put the issue out. So as soon as I have enough 'free time' I will be typing up & laying out the zine. This issue is going to be Rebel In Magenta #17 and its going to have a lot to do with turning 30 and what that did to me (my thoughts, changes in life, thinking back. etc). I'm really excited about this issue.
I also… Continue

Hey y'all, sometimes I'm so bad at self promotion that I forget to tell people that I have new stuff! So here's the latest:
NOBODY USES AN UMBRELLA IN PORTLAND: Yet another installment in my series of journal-comix, this one documents my life in the Winter of 2009. Work stuff, travelling (Cali! Canada!) and even a bit o' romance. It's $2 POST-PAID.
CYCLE TOURING PRIMER: This is a guide for those who are curious about, or are intending to do a self-supported bicycle tour.… Continue

Hello all - been lurking for a while, but finally joined instead of just obsessively reading the forum.
Managed to force/convince myself that the second issue of my Clash/Joe Strummer/punk(ish)/related zine that I managed to scrape together wasn't a total waste of ink and double-sided tape and people might actually be interested.
Got some extra emergency high quality photo copies done at the local art shop before posting it off to be printed,
prices have gone right up now… Continue
The little girl had just been given a new pair of shoes. Her last pair she had outgrown with holes in the toes. Left alone with her new possession, she had to figure out how to get the plastic string connecting them OFF.
She searched around for something sharp, but those kind of things were kept well out of reach from the children. Unsupervised, she ran around the living quarters, looking for something, finally spotting it on a nearby end table. A shiny red lighter beside a pack of… Continue
Faces - Issue 10 of The Great Unwashed is out now!
We've lost our access to free colour copying so it's now back to black and white for us :(
But we've jazzed it up with colourful paper and even more colourful articles! And pictures! And all the usual awesome stuff like Coaster Art.
So if we've enticed you, then give us a shout for a copy!
So yeah - (officially released on FRIDAY!) #2 of The INFINATE Zine is finally done - printed - finished - stapled - READY to rock n' roll. This bad boy is almost double the size of the last one...so thanks to all who contributed! Anyone up for…Continue

You know, I've become really interested in the idea that, in general, the ultimate destination for art is documentation in a book or video. To start the ball rolling in my own practice I decided to convert the Machine…Continue

"When I was about 11 or 12 yeas old me and two mates put together this zine. It doesn't really follow any narrative and there is an obsession with the number 69, but it is quite an amusing read. There are a lot of references to our warped Kiwi childhood and the… Continue

A few months ago I jokingly started the Artists Against Wankers Action Group (AAWAG) after experiencing a particularly harsh social environment at an exhibition opening. The reason? Too many art wankers. Some friends immediately expressed interest in the group and since then I have always… Continue
