Just wanted to update that my friend Kylie Buck and myself have started a review site for NZ zines! We post one a week on Mondays, and are putting out an "annual" in time for Wellington Zinefest this year in November.
We accept zine submissions to review - zines are returned to the sender (if provided with a return stamp), or donated to the closest zine library. We accept zines made in NZ, or by New Zealanders living overseas (by discretion). Email for…Continue

On the second of August is Auckland Zinefest. This year will be a bit different to others because it's on a Thursday evening and will wrap up in about three hours, usually they are on Saturday and run for the entire day.
Every time I attend a zine fest I try to have a new magazine to giveaway and I do this by having my deadline just before Zinefest day. This year I am wanting to do something a bit different and have decided to put out a mix CD with zine booklet.
I am really…Continue

...well a little belated. I actually got it ready for release at the tail end of August, but have been too busy to actually post about it. Well, here it is!
The fourth issue is a socio-political lit zine which uses historical accounts, modern day headlines, poetry, angry hippie insights and more to compile this ranty look at the parallels in the fall of Rome and the…Continue

Zero Hour is unlike the other issues of Printaissance in some very key ways, while remaining true to some of the style and format that has made Printaissance so popular among ones of readers. A very random mix of rants, musings, poems, Dr. Who trivia/game and oh so much more that all came together in under 24 to meet the deadline for the 24hr. Zine Thing 2011.
Just like all Printaissance issues there is a two page ‘centerfold’, this one contains a timeline of the construction of the…Continue
