I just finished #3 in my mini-twenty-four-hour-zine series. I love this little series because it takes only a short time to finish a whole zine. I also love the challenge of drawing in small scale and trying to convey a message.

I can tell that somewhere deep inside me I've already begun "Good Night, Cephalopod." I've already got the text and have been kind of stuck on the drawings--and distracted by life. But I'm getting that drawing feeling. This will be my second zine done entirely in colored pencil.

so i deleted the blog post with the pictures of the monsters i drew for the Lucky Creature Attacks coloring book. the in process photos of all the drawings are in the 4 monsters photo album, including a couple of scans. i've sent all the images to scott. i'm at the part of the process where i do not like looking at my work, which is another reason to move it off my main page.

now i'm experimenting with digitally darkening the lines of the faun drawing using Gimp.

It is finished. I spent the entire weekend putting it together. Damn I feel like I accomplished something for a change. I'm already starting another issue... the writing part anyway. And I'm working on an 8 page mini that will be nothing but doodling. I may send it along with other stuff as an extra.
