Want to send a thank you and a shout out to those who donated to get the Minibook Exchange going. I had even purchased some books from people to get some stock. I attended Cyphacon last weekend and ALL of the books were taken by interested readers. If I can get to more conventions, then that portion of the Minibook Exchange will certainly be an advertising success for zine and comix makers trying to get the word out.
And my zine library list has gotten quite long. Goodness…Continue

We missed a month there, and a very busy one at that, so we now have quite the tome built up! It's probably long enough to be its own zine. Let's take this first part a list:

Over a year ago I wrote a letter to Microcosm Publishing expressing my concerns with their continuing to involve an abuse perpetrator in their organisation. They never responded to me. This week, there are many more of us writing- united- to Microcosm. This time I hope we’re too loud to be ignored.
Here’s the …Continue

issue #6 of Nobody Cares About Your Stupid Zine Podcast is out now! We discuss International Zine Month and what we have been up to for the past year.
Also, if you haven't yet checked out my zine distro and custom button shop, Portland Button Works, you should do that too.
This started as a dream, literally a dream, that slowly invaded our sleeping and waking hours. We’ve been working on this for what seems like months. What started out as cross-continent online chats, turned into coffee filled breakfasts and Google docs full of ideas. Now those ideas are becoming a reality.
Derek Neuland and I have joined forces to create Portland Button Works and zine distro! With a collective 15 years of button making experience, we feel our custom button…Continue

I've just opened up a shop in a caravan in an arts centre in Nottingham called Caribou, and I would love to sell many many zines! I'm just starting to get stocked up and I've had a few people sending me their zines, so If you would like your zine to be featured inside Nottingham's first zine shop then I would love to hear from you. I'm interested in all subjects, and it would be on a sale or return policy.
I've started a zine promotion project on Twitter. It's located atwww.twitter.com/zinenews. If you would like your zine plugged there, simply drop me a message to my We Make Zines inbox which has the following information:
The name of your zine, some details about it and whether you do trades, distro, etc and a mailing address for same.
The web address for your zine's blog or Etsy shop

A typical retail transaction is generally pretty simple: I give you money, you give me stuff. But at Gigglebot distro, the business customs are different. If you visit a foreign country for business, it's good to know their…Continue
