A Punk Rock Manifesto

A Punk Rock Manifesto

I have never owned a record label, nor directed a successful merchandise company, so I don't pretend to be an expert on marketing. I have evolved through my craft as a songwriter, but others have labeled it and marketed it and made it neat for consumption.

Although I have made money from Punk, it is a modest amount when one considers the bounty that has been bestowed on the companies that…

Official Zine Library Blog......

I saw that we hadn't updated this blog in a long time. I think It would be a bit redundant to do so since we have our main page/blog elsewhere. I will however direct you to where you can find our blogging, catalog and links to cool stuff here Las Vegas Zine Library ! If you come through Las Vegas be sure to visit us, as we're downtown and easy to locate for those of you not familiar with life outside the strip YET. :) You…

News news news!

Alright, first of all:

I still have some copies left, and I'm sending them out to everyone who's willing to pay for shipping costs. The zine itself has become "donation-ware" as they'd call it in the IT world: feel free to give something, but if you're low on cash, just pay for shipping, and maybe 10 cent for wrapping & stuff. Do realise that it might take some time to send them out, but they'll go out for sure!

Secondly, I wanted to announce my new blog,…

See our blog for the full BAF5 line-up, news, pictures and an archive of previous fayres.
Our Autumn Book Arts Fayre is going to be great; with live paper-making and Salford Zine Library as just a taster what's confirmed.
Hopefully see you there!

I did it, I actually did it!

Hey zine kids! I am excited to announce that my blog is up and running! I’ve been working on it for about a month now, and I feel I’m ready to go public with it. I’m not sure how it will develop over time, but so far I have really enjoyed creating and writing it. Check it out and let me know what you think! Thanks so much. http://michelleaiello.wordpress.com/

Weekly Comics Trade

I recently started a weekly comics trade with my friend Matthew. He decided he wanted to learn how to draw and I decided that I need to draw more and want to learn how to make better comics. So we came up with the weekly trade! It's been a lot of fun and has really motivated me to draw a lot, something I really only did in the few months leading up to a new issue of my zine. Plus, having a collection of my friends… Continue

Feels good to clean...

Ahhh...you know that feeling you get after having really cleaned? You know, like Spring Cleaning? Well - I finally attacked my MySpace blog and really cleaned that sucker' out. Feels good!

Is it a bit more streamlined? Yes!

Is it a bit more relevant to my actual life? Yes!

Is it updated with plans for the zine? Yes!

It's wonderful! And I'm just very happy...as you can tell...

hello, december.

lately life has been more about organizing the studio (again. it's a mess. not just any mess. it's epic.). beyond that, i've been tossing around a few new zine ideas in my head--all inclusive sorts of things that are like perzine meets tutorial meets art zine meets poetical meander. honestly, keeping up with a bunch of different zine topics is just too much darn work right now. i will, of course, continue to keep Fat Girl (my body posi zine)… Continue
