a place for zinesters - writers and readers
What does depression look like?
She wants to scream, to release – but release what?
Where does one locate the pain and grief that only seems to be coming from within?
The guarder is herself.
She paces the room, arguing with herself. There is part of her that wants to destroy the other and the part that wants the other to consume her entirely.
A distinct heaviness comes with suppressing her from consuming my soul, her soul. It’s a knot at…Continue

Over the years I’ve collected many tins of all kinds. This year I wanted to use my Christmas tins as decoration. So I thought II’d try to turn them into a Christmas tree. After 2 attempts where walls of tins came tumbling down, with major racket and clanging on my wood floor, I got it. Neighbor Marci took some great photos. This was my favorite. Note there is one New Years tin in the mix, and of course an Angel on the top!
See blog for photo!…

Hello USA. I'm back in Boston after having lived in Berlin for many years. Now I'm back and want to get integrated into the zine scene again.
I have a new publication hot of the press and I am super excited to bring it to a North American audience, where the issues I discuss are about the NSA and the slashes against freedom of speech & press.…Continue

So I'm looking at zines by this person, Basper01. And I was wondering, how do you put photography in your zine? Do you collaborate with someone? I know that's an obvious one. When you put photos in your zine, how do you do it without breaking copyright laws? I feel like I can't write this question out right. For example, let's say you search for a photo of Morrissey and paste it in. Should you put the name of the photographer inside?…Continue

I just recently discovered ANOTHER drawer full of zines that I unfortunately cannot hold onto anymore. If you'd like an envelope full of a variety of zines, please message me! I would prefer if you were in the US so shipping isn't so expensive for me... :/
I have a habit of getting ahead of myself. Of looking at everything I think a project can be and not thinking about the work involved.
It's occurred to me that my desire to to video reviews along with my typed reviews has stopped me from starting up reviews again. I could have had a few solid reviews up already.
In my internet meanderings, I have found zine review blog after zine review blog that has closed - most of them recently! (I never was one for good timing.) So what am…Continue
