So because I've already finished my 2nd story a while back (still awaiting publication), I've decided to start on a new project. It's Nymphoids' Survival Guide. It should be a survival guide for girls (inside and out :P, no discrimination here loves!), including some fashion guides and DIY projects to look amazingly awesomely cool without breaking the bank, boy/girl problems, school/work stress, and everything about us girls/ladies/ women! XD from stories to advice to photos or original artwork… Continue
Okay, so before I tell you about my new project, someof you might be wondering why I call my zine and almost everything Nymphoid(s). Well, when I was trying to think of a name for my first zine, I was at first cinsidering more generic names... since it was a heart break series... i was thinking of cheesy names... but you see, that isn't like me at all. I like metphores, hidden meanings and such things...
So I was like, I need somethign that can represent everything that I will write… Continue

So, I have a zillion ideas and rather than cram them into one big mish-mash, I am trying to seperate out some of my themes into more specific, focused ideas.
Blithe Ire #1 -- Next to be ready to print; my art/lit mag that I've thus far gotten most of my material for by pestering friends. This one is pretty open-ended.... I have so far a really cheap recipe, some poetry, an article about collecting concert bootlegs, a philosophical rant, some short fiction... I still…
After much careful deliberation, we decided to make some 13th anniversary sweatshirts. It's something that we've talked about and wanted for a long time. Unfortunately, it's very hard to find fair trade, American made sweatshirts. Even most of the companies that generally make their products ethically cannot make "cost effective" sweatshirts in the US. So eventually we decided to go with American Apparel as our best option. To be "down" we are selling them for about half of what American… Continue

I just picked up Vol. 6 from the printer a couple minutes ago and it looks great. Here's a description:
Sixteen pages featuring Japanese artist Ariko "Inomi" Kitsu illustrating a Detective Dick Kirkpatric tale, British artist Rob Jackson depicts a vending machine's darkest desire, mini-comic veteran Brien Wayne Powell offers an exclusive Magnet Man strip, up-and-comer Jason Viola presents "Shorty… Continue

and you can find me on Twitter, Facebook, and at www.slumgullion.org...oh and many of the zines depicted in our photo album are available for trade or sale, just send me an email.. or a twitter.. or a facebook...or.....i'm posting really late at night so this is as coherent as it gets. But I am excited to be here, and to spend many hours perusing people's pages. I'm trying to build a zine library, but am utterly poor, so trading and donations of zines, books, comics, etc are eagerly accepted.

Maggie sat in the back seat of a dark grey range rover and wished she wasn't there. It was raining, dream-like mist. The windows smeared and streaked with rain like fast angry tears. The driver was middle aged, mouldy, and smelled of old cigars and unwashed clothing. He did not say a word since he had picked her up, but neither did she. Leaning her head against the window she watched the droplets race from the top of the window to the bottom just like that water-filled game Gran gave to her on… Continue
How do you deal with the uncertainty and possible imminent backlash when writing a perzine and reflecting on people and occurrences as truthful as you can? Like i war against myself because I want to be honest...I need to b and get some of this shit out, but I don't want to sever ties...burn bridges...make anyone an outcast....
writing has become frustration. i've forgotten subjects i've writen about 2 days ago (or more).
this is gonna take longer than i thought. i have short and long term memory loss.

I am a total newbie to the world of Zines!
It is here that I hope I am able to finally burst through my writer's bubble that has encased me for so long.
I have so many ideas floating around in my head, I just lack the discipline to allow them to flow forth.
Wow, first blog.
Unfortunately I've become used to writing and reading incredibly diluted life-stories on myspace profiles; so writing a blog should give me the kick up the backside I truely deserve.
So let's not start with the basics.
- I was born on Christmas day, 1993, during the Queens speech. My mother still managed to eat two chrismas dinners that day.
- I have a passion for history, art, music and history of art and music. Currently I have a developing fixation on… Continue
