IS

"I like you!" Replied the President.

I had no winner.

It must NOT be him.

Musea Email Club #491 Stuckism

Zine illustrators - this is something for you.

Dear Reader,

This time I'm going to look at the revolution in art and talk about Stuckism.

Stuckism is an international art movement started in Britain in 1999 by Billy Childish and Charles Thomson. It strongely opposes the abuses of modern art. The group's ideas sounded much like my own and I wanted to contact them.

I did. I suggested some of my own work protesting modern art abuses, and I got a couple… Continue

TELEGRAM MA'AM 18 / YOUR PRETTY FACE IS GOING STRAIGHT TO HELL 9

Tukru and I made a split zine across the ocean!

Telegram Ma'am #18 is a love letter to my bike, a beautiful vintage cruiser. There are notes on anxiety and depression as well, being a weird girl in a small town, going to zine gatherings, and adventures with my local friends. I write about learning how to ride my bike again after the snow melted, late-night bike rides, hanging out at the library, and challenging myself to communicate more assertively.

Your Pretty Face Is… Continue

Brainscan 24 and 25!

BRAINSCAN 25-This zine has been five start and stop years in the making. I finally finished it in October of 2009 at the Anchor Archive zine residency in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Brainscan 25 Chronicles my Saturn return as a love story, an ending, and a new beginning with someone from my past. The Saturn Return is the time between ages 27 and 30 when the planet Saturn is in the same place it was at your birth. It is usually seen as a harbinger… Continue

Call for Entries: COMING CLEAN

Call for Entries: COMING CLEAN (will be the theme of SYNDICATE PRODUCT #15)

Looking for stories AND comics.

After zines about the laundry (Laundry Basket), grocery shopping (12 Items or Less), and cooking (Potluck), this was inevitable. The next issue of SYNDICATE PRODUCT is all about cleaning... house cleaning, washing the car, even picking up the yard debris. (However, it's NOT about laundry, as that's already been done. It's also not about packratting, as that's also… Continue
