Hi, I'm part of a writers group in Melbourne, Australia and we've just published a zine of short stories called southpaw grammar. It features work by Benjamin Solah, Sam Stoker, Ben Pearmain, Alex Ettling and Frankie Cole, who've tackled topics from failed dates to fishing, vegan extremes to the undead.
If anyone would like to trade with us that would be rad... sends your to

Hi All! I just joined the We Make Zines board yesterday, and I have been reading and trying to find an appropriate way to make a post about my new zine... so I am writing this blog!
I used to be very involved in the zine community, and I wrote zines like "rock star with words", "the remainder of zero" and "there is still a chance for us". And in the late 90s I also made a lot of zines that I won't mention :) Anyways, it's been a few years since I've made a zine I've really put out… Continue

This week we have a fashion question.
This shoe developed in the 1830's, is still a hot item

The plimsoll shoe, or plimsoll. or tennis shoe, or sneaker or

I had no winner.
Seems the shoe didn't fit!

There have been a few submissions for covers to #8's ButtRagMag and I just wanted to post to see if anyone has any feedback about this. The two artists are fucking asstastic and fabulous-the great Dexter Cockburn! He has adorned the cover of #5 and has put Rump Ranger and Buttmeister Fuller in #6&7! Then Hugo who did Churn comics and draws such great big butts! I have grabbed and put in zines with his permission. Now he has drawn a cover especially for ButtRagMag! While I have already… Continue

In case you're not familiar, we started out as a marketing tool for the crafts and somewhere along the way, the blog
and 'zine took on a life of its own. Not a bad thing but maintenance can wear a person… Continue

It's been a long while since the distro is opened. Lots of factors play into that but it's open now and I'm having a sale for it.
By the way, if the layout is kind of a hassle to navigate let me know so I can make it much more accessible. Thank you!
Sale has been long over!

Inspired by an old photographic project of mine (read about it here
) I put together a mini zine about eight individuals sharing a single moment in time - 12.11pm to be exact. Its printed on a single sheet of A4 which is then folded up to fit in the palm of your hand. It also opens up to reveal a puzzle regarding the eighth individual. I plan to place a couple in time related library books during one of my visits… Continue

Someone saw my recently-added page here and said, "Nick, I can't believe you're still doing this stuff." I took it as a compliment. I did my first fanzine in 1980 (I was 12 at the time), then had a ten-year run from 81-91 with a SINGLE title, took some time to get married and have kids, then did another print zine from 03-08 before going the way of the dreaded e-zine (although I must admit it's much easier, cheaper, and faster to do).
BUT---I'll always have the itch to do an… Continue
