Mishap #27, the special book issue, is in at Microcosm distro.
#28 should be there soon.
I'd be interested how many people buy their zines from distros versus direct from the zinester. Somebody with a grant should study that and let me know.
I like how the description of #27 on the distro page says "inauspicious cover", which is another way to say "boring." The simple cover--only words, no pictures--was intentional: the zine was for readers and the cover lets… Continue

I got the pleasant surprise of praise and thought I'd share it with the zine community. It comes from We Love You So, a website that seems to have a big readership, since I've already heard a lot of feedback from this, in just a couple days time. If you happen to know these folks, tell them thanks for me.

Well, it was fail but now it is done!
I had finished Pillow Talk, but then loads of crappy things happened to me and I ripped it all up and couldn't bear to think about it until a couple of weeks ago. I started again though and got it finished and now it's all ready to go.
It turned out pretty well and I am happy with it, and it will definitely become a regular thing again. I had got really scared of making zines, writing things down made them so real, and I was afraid they… Continue

zine #3 - Bird_Habit.1 - was draw, scan then figure it out with wacom tablet...photoshop method...teaching myself how to use a wacom tablet as i went along - so it took a while for it to come together...…

Starting another thing online, I guess. I tend to spread myself thinly over the internet.
Great idea for Vegemite, but it's a shitty approach to gaining exposure.
Here are some websites I'm not quite happy with:
Started it in 2008 as a portfolio site. Has some of my best work on it, but there are heaps that need to be added to it.…

I recently found a new web host, Weebly.com. Hate the name, but so far there's nothing I don't like about the service. The interface is ridiculously easy to use and it has a lot of nifty features that I haven't seen with other hosts. So I'll slowly be transitioning all my online junk into one single Apocalypse Girl HQ.
Come by and check it out- Apocalypsegrrl.com
