Indigo #18 is hot off the presses!
After a long 2 years, I finally have a new issue! In Indigo #18 I write about leaving Chicago after 32 years, my club kid days in the '90s and friendship with the legendary party promoter Zoe Orgasma and adjusting to rural life in Kentucky. I am very proud of this issue and I hope you enjoy it too! To get a copy, send $4 via Paypal to michelleaiello at gmail dot com or concealed cash to

Ilse Content, back in print
Our dear long-time collaborator, Alexis Wolf, moved to France in September and her amazing zine, Ilse Content, has been going out of print like crazy ever since! Luckily, she left us with the originals, should this situation come to pass, and we finally got around to reprinting a couple today. If you have…

Looking to take in some zines for Review!
I am open to taking in some zines for review! I'll be starting a zine review column for Subterfuge magazine (a new-ish women's online magazine) called Broken Stapler. It's been a few years since I got any new zines and I'd love to review some new zines instead of ones I've had sitting in boxes for years and years.
I'm willing to trade you some stamps for zines or pass along a couple of bucks for some zines.
Please, please, please feel free to email me at…

sickness
Back in the saddle of trying to find work. Too much makes me sick anymore.
Sick of looking at want ads for collection agencies and banks.
sick of wanting and not getting.
sick of feeling like to have I must whore out myself.
sick of tired useless useless.
my corner of the mess is getting more smaller every day.
sick of feeling so helpless to help all the people who are drowning in all this shit that's labeled economic.
tired,…

LogPoesZine De Levensvreugd!
This year I decided to spend my birthday making a zine! It's in Dutch, but I'm posting it here anyway. "De Levensvreugd" literally translates to "Joy in life" and it's a zine in which I basically try to encourage people to be excellent to each other. :-)
Since Issuu refuses to embed for some reason, please click here to read the zine! :-)

New collaborative zine (fairy tales again!)
I've set up a new collaborative fairy tale zine project over at Art 42. This is separate to my Enchanted Times project (see previous blog posts) and offers you absolute freedom in terms of which fairy tale you use as inspiration & how you interpret it. The only restriction is page size, which is postcard-size/4" x 6"/A6/quarter-size.
I'm asking people to submit 2 pages, and…

Zinester weekly art quiz
The answer to, and winner (if any) for, our last contest question of:
There is always room for a Beatle question and this one is a fun one. My range singing is almost exactly 2 octaves. I think John Lennon of the Beatles could BEAT that. My claim for the highest John note on a Beatle record is probably the falsetto at the end of In My Life (any one know for sure?) But this week's contest question for the prize is about the low end of his range: what Beatle recording has John's lowest…

Visual Music Review Issue 1 out now
I listen to and play a lot of music, and I love trying to find new music. Gone are the days when I could just tune in to the local FM band and instantly fall in love with a new tune. Today I find music via friends, blogs, folks in other bands, services like hypemachine and last.fm... but in some ways it lacks that magical touch of just tuning in to a station.
I don't do radio, but I do art, so I decided to make a zine to try and put some magic back into discovering music:…

Zine Grab Bags! The gift that keeps on giving!
So, I have 6 zine grab bags containing at least 8 full/half zines each, several quarter sized zines and minis, a couple of buttons, and fliers for other people's rad projects. I'm not going to set a price on these higher than postage (since most of them were trades that I don't have the space to keep around), but whatever extra you include will go towards adding inventory to my distro. (which is www.onceuponadistro.com)

If you want your zine to be carried by distros.... USE them.
Just a little frustration from the zine distro front. I get a TON of submissions. 90% of which I cannot take. Some of those I would give a whirl, but it is impossible to do without knowing if you'll sell anything.
For as many people that are sending zines out to distros for consideration... I ask that you think about also utilizing zine distros for purchases. Or help out by sending people to the distros where your zines are carried.
Otherwise, they are…
