“Many of us crucify ourselves between two thieves - regret for the past and fear of the future."
My fear extends much farther than fear for my future, because everyone fears that which they don't know. Fear is ever-present. It falls heavily in the pit of my stomach on a daily basis, pulling my thoughts and self-esteem down with it. Fear that my daily choices, actions, thoughts and… Continue

The answer to, and winner (if any) for, our last contest question of:
The ancient Persians practiced "Cloud Art". What is Cloud Art?
Cloud art or Ebru is the art of marbling - that wonderful book design technique used for inside book covers on very expensive books. Paints float on a watery paste, then paper is placed on top and printed.
We had no winners, seems your answers were… Continue

posted anything new in a long while, but I haven't really had anything going on worth posting. Well, I was interviewed a week or so ago by an arts publication out of Argentina. I was initially under the impression that it was an online magazine, but realized when they asked me for hi-resolution images from my portfolio that it is actually a… Continue

29 November 2010 - 3:44AM - Denver, CO
Drum beats and artificial sounds pound into my ears at a constant rate, filling my mind with complex melodies and poetic lyrics. The juxtaposition of inorganic rhythm and organic lyricism strikes me as slightly odd; the words should match the sound, but most of the time they don't. I don't know what that says about my ability to chose good music - probably nothing at all. My so-called… Continue

Last Saturday night I was sitting at home, watching Beavis and Butthead make fun of Rob Halford's shoulders, when I got the urge to see what bands were playing that night. I got really excited and rushed out to the TLA in Filthydelphia (city of bother and loathe.) If you've never heard of Foxy Shazam, you need to Google them. They are three parts obnoxious and two parts pomposity and one part street performance.
I know it's really girly and… Continue

The LOST TAPES
This time around from the 80's, is an original bebop instrumental recording. I play the keyboards. This is pretty raucous stuff for some - others I hope will get into it. Imagine a smoky dark club... and then -

Wow, we're snowed in here in Olympia, Wa, so I guess that means the time has come again. Though we tend not to care much about most holidays, we thought we would have a sale anyway! Maybe think of it as an end-of-the-year sale, instead. You have two options of how to go about it:
1. Every 5 zines you buy, you get one free.
2. Spend $50 and get $10 of credit to use how you see fit.
Pick one or the other. In both cases, just email us
