New Zealand zine review website

Hi all,

Just wanted to update that my friend Kylie Buck and myself have started a review site for NZ zines! We post one a week on Mondays, and are putting out an "annual" in time for Wellington Zinefest this year in November.

We accept zine submissions to review - zines are returned to the sender (if provided with a return stamp), or donated to the closest zine library. We accept zines made in NZ, or by New Zealanders living overseas (by discretion). Email for…

Mention in Texas Music Magazine - new issue?

Got a good news stand where you live? There may be a mention of me in the national Texas Music Magazine, Fall issue #56. But I can't find it! Who can find a copy?

Seems that not only are newspapers going out of business, but news stands and magazines too!

I was interviewed for this issue over the phone. I hope there is a mention, but I don't know. If you can find a copy of this issue, let me know.

3 Poems based on Sappho

3 poems inspired by Sappho – the last a fragment that works as is]

her face saddened,
her shoulders slumped,
her wings collapsed,

“As for me
neither honey or bee,”
sighed Sappho
in her declining years.

Music down to these 5 musicians - every one else marginalized Beyonce, Beiber,....

Have you gotten the corporate memo from the Big 4 ( Universal Music Group, Sony BMG, EMI Group and Warner Music Group are collectively known as the "Big Four" majors - they control 80% of the music business).

They will only allow 5 musicians to get most of the music coverage.

Music and the music business, has been reduced to 5 auto tuned sound alikes. These 5 get more media attention than all the other musicians in the world, combined. Corporate music has marginalize the… Continue

Deconstructing Radicalism

I think I must be getting too old or something, but it seem's radical politic's just isn't what it used to be.It seem's that when people are really going out of thier way to make a point,it's like something got lost in the mix. They're earnest, shit, they could even be 100% correct, but it just seem's....I don't know, kind of hokey.Dated.Almost cute in it's ineffectiveness. Is being radical that silly?Has time just sort of passed the need for this by?Maybe it alway's looked silly, and I just didn't…

My Dick Has A Zine

One thing about this website, and the community in general,is that it's non-racist,non sexist, and non homophobic.Working within the perameter's of this dynamic makes it challenging to be humorous. It's not impossible;it just takes more work.Lucky for me,I'm in the final phases of my court ordered sensitivity training.I've been taking courses in political correctness for 2 year's,to improve my sensiivity level, and beat an Assault 4 rap. It's eye opening,to take everyone elses comfort level into…
