BOOTY #19 (Amherst, MA)
Covering the time period between September 2003 and March 2005, this issue of Anne's personal comic book includes work stories, an encounter with an animate snowman, a last-minute, surprisingly cheap vacation to Iceland (!), and a very… Continue

I love Tegan and Sara. I took a year off between school and university. Between August ‘07 - September ‘08 I saw Tegan and Sara play 27.5 times in 8/11 countries (depending on how you count).
I kept a diary for 22 of those shows.
This is the padded out version of that diary, complete with lovely pictures and other random things I… Continue

...It's been a long time. I've recently learned how to silkscreen, so I'm going to do the covers myself. Maybe I'll make 50 of them and kind of approach it differently than with Lickety Split (no judgment there- that magic deserves to be spread around!).
What I mean is, I'm rethinking my relationship to the format. I think I will:
- Not plan the zine
- Produce all the content myself
- Use screenprinting and photocopy printing methods
- Maybe try to get them in out… Continue

One of the many low-key creative things that happen at the Star & Shadow cinema is taking place on Saturday, from 10.30am onwards for 2 hours or so. If you are free, please come and join in - all are welcome, it's free and there's no need to be an expert!
At 10.30 we will share a wee breakfast & coffee in the office (bring anything you want!), flick through some trashy paperbacks - a western, a crime thriller, a mills'n'boon lovestory etc.. - and decide… Continue

I've always wanted to take our Dallas daily and see how much of it is hard news. Thankfully someone else has done it for me. Clay Shirky reports on his findings for his hometown paper. Then UTNE does the same experiment. They include photos of the results. Check them out and let me know what you think.

Welcome to H.O.P.E. (Healing through Our Personal Expressions)! I decided to begin this zine in order to offer consumers a place to express themselves. It is said that healing often comes from self expression, no matter what the form. In some case, people feel better after journaling their thoughts and experiences. For others, writing a poem or painting are ways to help on the path to recovery. "It is a well known fact that writing has a positive effect on an individuals sense of well being,"… Continue

The answer to, and winner (if any) for,
our last contest question of:
What is not a pipe? Clue - there is only one correct answer.
IS
The surrealist masterpiece painting by Rene Magritte with the English translated title that " This Is not a pipe". The painting shows a
painting of a pipe with the words 'ceci n'est pas une pipe" under it.
The idea being it is a picture of a pipe not a real pipe. A koan
of sorts!
“June Graveyard” is my new zine – it’s a story about going to Yorkshire and climbing a steep hill with my mother, in order to find Sylvia Plath’s grave.
It’s 28 pages long and has a gocco printed cover – no two snails are alike.
Contact me if you're interested in reading it. . .
Recently-ish finished my first-in-a-long-time perzine mélange. Can't really count my little room as a recent perzine, as it took a year to complete, and it's more of an artpiece.
Lorem ipsum dolor, trying out this blog system. Ain't bad so far.
