I'm learning to 'story board'

It's okay to draw stuff like I do but I'm learning to compose a line of action. I picked up this book on Manga, Manga Drawing Kit. Thumbnails, panels in action. The book recommends sketching the particulars then turning the sequence of events into a panel. Exciting. It's a lot more than just drawing something which is all I ever had done. So, I'll get back to the blog once I develop something smooth to copy. My progress has been really slowy evolving. But, that's okay.

The Story Zine we made at the Star & Shadow cinema, Newcastle upon Tyne, this October.

Story Zine & Hybrid Zine

Making the story zine was lovely. 8 people took part.

The ugliest breakfast in the world was made on my campstove. Phipps was looking after a friend's dog, which did a poo.

And inspired by some trashy hire-books from the Grainger Market we produced some rather racy page-long works.

Pillow Talk number two is done!

It's finally done! It ended up being 26 pages long and I'm pretty proud of it. I'm going to go and get it copied sometime this week and I *should* be able to post it out next week.

I'm so glad I can finally honour the swaps you ladies have asked for!

Number 3 is definitely not going to take so long. It felt really good to get all that out of me.

I have been busy working / writing on a new zine since February. The content has been coming along nicely & I think I have enough stuff written up now, to put the issue out.
