An Ezine as you know is an electronic newsletter or magazine, which is sent out by email. Yet this standard definition of an electronic newsletter has changed and so too will the true definition of an Ezine in the future. How so you curiously ask?
Well, the reason I say this is because in 1995 we put our newsletters for my company online at our website, because well because not everyone was using email yet and the attachment thing…

i found this cool video on YouTube, by SamProof, were he demonstrates how to make a zine (small format, about 7.5 cm by 10.5 cm, that's about 2"95 by 4"13) without using glue/staples/stitching/etc, just by a special but simple folding process!
see it here:

following my last post, on SamProof's video tutorial, he talks about zine trading and he has had a great idea i feel i must share you (even) more people!
according to his own words, if you would like to have a copy of the zine but are short or out of money, you can send a drawing with a self-addressed stamped envelope and you will receive a copy of the zine back! also, your drawing might appear on the next issue of the zine!
i think this is a very good idea! usually, zine…

Hello all - been lurking for a while, but finally joined instead of just obsessively reading the forum.
Managed to force/convince myself that the second issue of my Clash/Joe Strummer/punk(ish)/related zine that I managed to scrape together wasn't a total waste of ink and double-sided tape and people might actually be interested.
Got some extra emergency high quality photo copies done at the local art shop before posting it off to be printed,
prices have gone right up now…

Hi,All!
The problem that I thought had ended my drawing career seems surmountable. I'm drawing again and up to page 20 on the Krakos The Egyptian book.
Phew.
Next is the GoBo zine and a book gathering all three parts of the Dr Morgus Trilogy together. Nothing can stop me....
...that plane seems to be low...and getting closer...
AAAAAAAAAAGH!

Hallo!

I have been posting this project on mail art sites, but then I thought that since there will be zines in the exhibition (my own) I might try and make it open to zinemakers too. You can see pictures of my previous exhibition on my blog, which included mail art I received for that project, my zines/books, prints, and also a makestation where people could make their own mail art or zines. I've not done a zine call before, but to follow the…

Okay, so I thought that I'd really concentrate on providing some insight into my own way of thinking on the matter of zine production here. Mainly for the fact, that this little area is too far tucked away into the recesses of the interweb for anyone to take notice. How many posts, blogs, and comments will it take for the whole world to be one giant embarrassment? It's not about the back and forth exchange of ideas from one person to the next. This will primarily be a place for me to spill…

This morning, I got the first feedback for my "friendship day"-mini-zine: One "lovely", one "very nice!" and two swap-bot-hearts, although I didn't send anything other with the zine to get the hearts for. They are really given for the zine and I am dancing with delight here. :-)
This weekend, I will start making my next one.
I collected ideas what to write it about during last week; it is themed "mini-zine of craftiness" and I do have several ideas. So I will pick one and save…
