This week’s edition of The Troll will be a little different. Last week, we formally introduced ourselves to Albuquerque’s zine scene so everyone there knows what we’re all about. If you ever wondered when it was okay to laugh during the articles, then now you’ll no. No canned laughs here– it’s 100 percent live, raw and in stereo. Although there’s some articles from the previous issues, we did release two articles that night: Libertarianism in the U.K., and Conquering…

Help L.A Zine Fest Become a Reality in 2012!
Hi!
I am writing from a group of ladies who are organizing a Los Angeles Zine Fest in early 2012. We want to have a FREE event with 60-70 vendors from all over the country (and world even!) participate to celebrate zines in a way that Los Angeles hasn't embraced, on a large scale, in quite a while. We have entered a contest that will fund the idea with the most votes with a $2,500 prize and we need your help!
If you'd like to support zine culture and community by helping us…

Like Comics? Like Lego?
I love toys, especially Lego and pretty much anything dinosaur-related. Check out some of my comics, a mad fusion of ridiculous playtime and digital photography. The latest comic includes a Sister Sister Button and Guam's finest Shakespearean impersonations.

Hello folks,
I've just opened up a shop in a caravan in an arts centre in Nottingham called Caribou, and I would love to sell many many zines! I'm just starting to get stocked up and I've had a few people sending me their zines, so If you would like your zine to be featured inside Nottingham's first zine shop then I would love to hear from you. I'm interested in all subjects, and it would be on a sale or return policy.
If you…

My Latest Internet Frustration
Somebody by the name of Gene Hawkridge sent me an invitation to join LinkedIn, which he himself is on. At first, I thought it may have been some kind of spam, so I hit the reply button and politely told him I didn't remember ever "meeting" him. Later, the name began sounding more familiar, and after an Inbox search, I did find he was a WA LP member and had contacted me in a mass e-mail a while back. So, taking it as a possibly friendly personal gesture, I decided I'd go ahead and accepted…

Spider Comics
Here at Sunflower Skins we love spiders. Most creatures with 8 legs, actually.
This is the latest, starring the new friend who appeared in our kitchen last week, a tiny jumping spider barely the size of my pinky fingernail:
Check out all of my spider comics…

(slightly belated) Happy Birthday Joe and a rediscovered tribute
+ Joe/Clash related issue 1 memories
(it's gone midnight - now 1:14 am, so no longer the 21st here in Britain. Keeping odd hours & getting distracted by urban75 + time to refind, edit, upload and write all this doesn't help getting tributes out there for the right day)…

My newest zines + awesomeness.
I have two weeks off instead of just the one week I normally get, so I've been very busy with art stuff and making zines.
I just got done with Impossibles #3, a perzine about growing up in a strict fundamentalist community. Over this first week of break, I started getting the cover and splashpages ready for Impossibles #4. It is going to be about my experiences being a black woman in America and everything that goes along with that. I'm really excited about this one because…

Callout for Contributions to JUGGLING THE RAINBOW # 2 – non-monogamous relationships
Are you living or exploring or thinking about open non-monogamous relationships? Did you always want to write your story down to be shared with others in the DIY zine field (or beyond)?
Here is a chance for you ;-)
I have made „Juggling the Raibow # 1“ in February 2010 in New Zealand (you can download it on QZAP, indymedia.or.nz, sarahtearex.wordpress.com or email me for a PDF). Number 2 I would like to be more internationally – even though it will be in English language. It is a…

FUNDED! The Meta-Comics Issue is FUNDED!
Wow, the META-COMICS issue is funded as of 8:55pm tonight. I'm completely overwhelmed by the generosity of all of the backers, and very glad I decided to take a chance and use Kickstarter to fund the project.
A few things I've learned so far:
1. Have a modest goal and provide a budget in your project description to show where the money will go.
2. Have reasonable reward levels. For this, $1 got a "thank you" in the zine, $5 a PDF of the issue, and $10 a dead tree copy of…
