has been printed out and is waiting to be cut and paste into a zine. by this time tomorrow it will actually resemble something that can be photocopied!
it actually hasn't been that long since issue 9 i don't think... but this zine has been fighting me the whole way. it was just sentence fragments for the longest time. putting it together into something cohesive was epic. i am also making a mini-zine called 'ten years ago today... or a day just like… Continue

The answer to, and winner (if any) for, our last contest question of:

Samuel Beckett, Irish avant-garde writer, dramatist, poet, and one of the key writers in… Continue

At the end of this month (August 2010), I will no longer have a post office box in Lawrence, Kansas. In fact, I won't have a post office box anywhere. Please don't send me any mail via the US Postal Service.
I guess I'm kind of out of the zine business at the moment...

For the longest time I've been complaining about how there wasn't a zine scene here in Florida. So this week I decided to actually do something about it. I think that there needs to be a place like the IPRC and Boxcar Books here in Florida. There needs to be a space where people can just go to write or do art, and to make copies. I got two friends together and I pitched the idea, and they agree so we've started the process of incorporating, and when that's done we're going to file for tax… Continue

SO I have an envelope laying around and it has a stamp stuck on it. I cannot remember what or to whom it was for, but since it already has a stamp on it, might as well send it on my next trip to the P.O.
right now it has a magazine cutout and my 24-hour zine. email at email@example.com and get it for FREE.
what should the email say? i don't know! a random story about a random day. if i end up feeling generoud, maybe i'll pick out 2 or 3 stories :)

i think this is the best way to keep track of when & who i send the zines to. if you bought a copy or we arranged a trade, check this post...
everyday that i ship copies of Ladybug #1, i'll list the first name and the state or country they went to. that way you can look here to find out when your order or trade went out.

For anyone curious about us:
The Zine Library was at the Good Life Community Bike Shop for several months, and it was in many ways a great success! However after a while it just wasn't working out, so it was moved into my (Samantha) home, The Dollhouse. The Dollhouse was both a punk house and a show space and for a year the zine library was there and many kids that came to the shows used it. I moved out of that house in May and now live in a different punk house that is… Continue
