This is a re-post from my blog (http://altbit.org). I figured it 'd get a better response here.
Hardcore punk rock and grindcore were a huge influence on my youth. The fighting spirit and never say die mentality carried me through many difficult times. Hey folks!
It’s been a while since my last updates, so you’re in for a real treat. The last several months have been amazing! I had been screen-printing (on clothing and fabric patches) a ton and ran into an old friend who was interested in selling them at her new shop. Laurel’s shop, U.T.O.P.I.A., just opened july 3rd 2oo9 in downtown Flagstaff. Grand Opening turned out great and the fabric prints seemed to sell dang well. Everything in the shop was made in the Americas and at least…

Reviews for 398#10.
Review from Zine World #28
Hell yeah, a collection of original short-short stories by Elizabeth J. M. W. that are great. While not as ethereal and crafted as Patricia McKillip's novels, these stories brought fantasy to mind
(yes, this comparison shows how much I liked these stories). "The Boy
Who Owned the Forest" is simple and neat, while "The Winter of the
River" is bittersweet.…

Hey-ho!
Over at Comic Bits Online I've asked if anyone has photos of the London event I can use to publicise it. If you have any please let me know.
Paul Ashley Brown was there Saturday and Sunday and says that he really enjoyed himself and had a great time staying with his host Mr.Gherkin. The next event I'm really going to have to attend!

I've just finished my zine for the
24 hour zine thing project - we were supposed to make a 24 page zine from scratch in July in a single 24 hour period. since this was my first zine, I didn't quite fit in with the project rules - but I made the zine within 24 hours, though spread over the weekend. I typed it up on my new old Gabrielle 25 Adler typewriter - which took me ages! and gave my fingers a good workout. I went to Office Works today to do the…

I finished my medical/psychology zine! It's a half page booklet with hand drawings by myself, random tidbits of information, an article by Meagan Marly (Bug Buffet Zine).
I'm working on a quarter sheet art zine with techniques/tips/tricks/words of wisdom and little bits and pieces of stuff that I find interesting/helpful, as well as all original artwork by myself. It's called "method aptitude" and it's basically like a little art help book with stuff that I've learned and discovered…
