For anyone waiting on something in the mail from me, I'm sorry it has taken far too long. I've been seriously ill for the last month and haven't been able to do much of anything. On the bright side I've nearly completed the first issue of my latest zine "The Tumultuous Times". And since it was supposed to be done a month ago, I decided everyone on my mailing list gets it for free! This does include people not on this forum, but if you're not on my mailing list and would like a free copy drop me…

And since I am pretty happy right now, I signed up for the next Swapbot-swap of a "mini-zine of craftiness" by @TangleCrafts. I already have an idea and think I will start right now.
... Yes, I really think I'm on zines. ;-)

I am working at my first zine ever for the Swapbot-"Mini-Zine"-Swap and having a real good time; it is called "Friendship Day" and ready so far, and tomorrow I'm going to copy and bind it.
I am really proud of it: nothing fancy, but I am noob and it's my first one ever, so ...!
Now I am wondering how to bind it. Stapling I thought, but my stapler is a small one, and it does not reach the middle of the zine where the brackets would belong.
So what now? Sewing?

[Ah-ha! The moment has come for me to post something on my page, finally! I have been a big utilizer of to-do lists in the past and I recently made like, the ultimate whopper of a to-do list with sub-sections that included a whole section on "Networking". So, this little blog entry baby here earns me a slash through something on the list! Ah, sweet satisfaction...]
A bit about me and what I've done :)
My biggest project right now is a zine called Jesus Christ Super Zine.…

This week I worked on the Nicole J Georges swap-zine with the topic "5 Most Embarrassing Moments," and I learned how to spell the word EMBARRASS, a word seldom used. Very excited about the swap... she did one last Spring which got my fired from my job so I am hoping this year will have more promising results.
If you would like one I will accept trade or $1.…

news on why there are currently no issues of COTL on sale
Eek, after going through about 5 [desktop] printers in 6 years, and printing hundreds upon hundreds of zines by myself, the new printer I'm borrowing (following the crash & burn of my ol' faithful Canon earlier in the week) may just have priced me out of doing colour-printing at-home &/or selling the zine at it's current cost (the zine has always sold for the price it costs to make it, 100%…

It's done! It's out! And You want a copy!!! A queer zine about queer zines. This issue is great... just read an excerpt:
Whew!!! That's a lot, and it's only the middle of August. Onto the issue! We got a bunch of great submissions for this issue. Teknad has written a sweet little introduction to French and Francophone queer zines, Chris has a piece about queer zines from Minnesota, Sam Stoker writes about their…

I finished this back in July, and it has taken me this long to get around to posting it here.
The way that this zine was made:
First I did a very large very intricate drawing. Next I photocopied it. Next I cut up the photocopies to the size of the pages. Next I photocopied these pages, but what is cool is that I photocopied them onto the back of paper that was already used on one side. The side that we didn't want to see was folded in. Then I…

As part of our (hopefully) ongoing series on zineing, our good friend Eric Bartholomew, who writes a zine called Junk Drawer, gave us a few words on why he does what he does. Check it out if you can:

Hi there! I have been handed over the Welland Zine Library by Jen Pilles to move to Niagara College, my place of study, for students to take advantage of. I am right now in the process of updating and re-vamping the collection for the new school year (starting September 9th), and need your help!
I am especially lacking feminist, women's health, food, mental health and queer zines especially.
If you are interested in donating a copy of your zine, please message me or e-mail…

“The Meadow” has been written in a very extraordinary way. For example, there was never any intention to bring the story into manuscript format. It was only after my encounter with Elfreda that it became a reality and, between us, we prized the idea out of my head and onto a hard drive. Even when we began writing the story, there was never an outline laid out for the whole thing. Outlines were only prepared for each chapter as we took them step by step.
I remember Elfreda…
